What’s with the name?
When I was in 4th year high school, my classmates and I formed a rap group named Izkatowa. Haha. Then I need a so-called nickname and came up with maarteh since my mom kept on calling me by that name and some people agreed. (minus the letter H of course.)
I have tried researching what does it mean in English and sadly, there is no specific meaning. Maarte could mean picky, girly, flirty and also perfectionist. In my part… I’m not really that girly. 
Flirty? Well yeah with my guy. LOL. Perfectionist? Maybe. 
But what I notice from people is that their comments are more of the way I speak. Especially if I’m in the mood of speaking like this: “I will go to Yuka’s party and make lamon. Who wants to make lamon with me?” Haha.

Blogging since…?
…as far as I can remember I started blogging when I was in first year highschool. I first used blogdrive and stayed for quite sometime. I learned how to play with its CSS till I find out about diaryland. This one heck easier to use than blogdrive. After a year maybe, I saw the real world of blogging. Domains, subdomains, ftps and the like… I wanted to have mine too. I applied for hosting but was rejected. Thank God I met someone named aiiya. She was so good to host me and explain every bit in wordpress and FTP. Now… it’s been… ummm… around 7 years since I started blogging.
